a Blaugust response

In response to: Phoneblogging (https://brennan.day/phoneblogging/)

I've done thousands, tens, probably hundreds of thousands of words, blog posts, via phone since 2014. I was most hardcore about this when it was a Twitter/Tumblr combo on my Nexus 5 while living in the social media mayhem of BLM in downtown St Louis. Always Twitter or/and blogging time. When I got back to the 300 sq ft apartment, it was laptop.

The key here, is a decent predictive text/autocorrect virtual keyboard. Google Key was second to none for years. Still is. Though not as good in the past coue years, it seems (:cough: AI :cough:)

But I still blog (like now) via phone. I use the desktop at home sometimes, laptop eventually. Phone works for now. Write.as has the best blog editor I have ever used across nearly all blog platforms (some I stayed with longer than other) since 2006.

The best one though, is a local, auto save text editor, saved as .txt, and then published on a site directly as a /PAGENAME.txt file right onto the site. No fuss or hassle. Local editors always soar above any on-site blogging editors. Though Writeas is nearly as good.

So it's more of how/why to blog via mobile, no how/why to join/start participating in the I die Web entry like I had believed when I clicked, but there are things to excite there as well :)
