everything but the customers
So lemme read this right..
MS “proved” it's AI ventures are paying off. ...for investors. Not customers, or “better” AI, or the onboarding of customers – it did a market trick.
So, MS beat the quarterly revenue forecast for its AI involvement. It didn't get into the green by much, but still in the green. The other tech stocks, not so.
MS also cut capex (capital expenditures) by telling investors on their quarterly earnings call that they are dialing down infrastructure build-out, and spending less on AI software related costs and engineer salaries.
The other tech companies, spending more on all of those things.
Investors pull out of stocks with competitors, reinvest in MS
Is this AI being profitable?
lmao. Of course not. Business 101: succeed by having customers. Business 102: have profits come from paying customers.
